Socio-economic sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and commerce are highly sensitive to climate extremes like droughts, floods, storms, and other hydrometeorological hazards.
With the purpose of bridging the data gap for early warning systems as well as enhancing monitoring capacities for sectoral applications, RIMES assists NMHSs according to the needs of the host country in setting up observation stations eg. Automatic Weather Stations (AWS), Automatic Water Level stations (WLs) and an array of other agro and hydro-meteorological systems.
RIMES offers expertise throughout the project life-cycle which includes, support for site selection and survey, instrument calibration, installation, testing, and maintenance as well as building systems for telemetry and data integration.
