As a Field Coordinator, Aftab is responsible to implement the project with  support of DMC members, NGO workers, community people, private sectors engagement and Local stakeholders, Local Government Institutions i.e. Department of Disaster Management (DDM) and Flood Forecasting and Warning Center (FFWC) at field level as per requirement. He also supports topographic surveys, manages installation of observation gauges, data collection and quality checking, geospatial analysis, planning and technical documentation for relevant sectors.
He has more than 24 years working experience in different sectors and received various types of training. He has extensive knowledge on climate change, food and nutrition security, value chain and market system development, natural resources management, private sector engagement, youth employability, livelihood issues, improvement of non-formal education, social safety net facilities, monitoring, reporting, linking DRR with sustainable development etc. 

He acquired Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh
