As Project Associate, Samia supports RIMES project activities at national and field levels in Bangladesh. She contributes coordination with project partners and government organizations for implementation, documentation as well as monitoring and evaluation of project activities and project development. She also supports the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) and Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) as per requirement. 
She contributes in the demonstration of forecast-based risk and resource management and facilitates training programs at national and community level. 

Prior to working at RIMES, Samia worked as a Junior Water Resources Engineer in several government funded projects. She acquired her Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Water Resources Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
