Ruby Rose holds over 15 years of experience in capacity building of institutions and communities in different countries for community based early warning systems, integration of multi-timescales (historical data, weather to seasonal scale information, and climate change projections), multi-hazard (climate and geo-hazard) information into short-, medium-, and long-term sectoral plans and decisions, for climate/disaster risk management/resilience.

Ruby has more than 10 years of experience in multi-institutional, multi-thematic coordination for Climate information/early warning information services development/customization and delivery. Has over seven years of research experience for customizing Forecast Application for Risk Management in Agriculture (FARM) School . She has over seven years of experience in the assessment of climate information/early warning information requirements of user institutions/sectors in various countries, and provision of inputs to technical teams for generation DDS of user-demanded climate information/ early warning information products and services.

Ruby brings regional and international experience, with familiarity of government systems. Countries of work includes Armenia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Iran, Georgia, Lao PDR, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Philippines, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. In implementation of RIMES projects/programs, Ruby has worked with United Nations institutions, international/regional development organizations, and in-country institutions from national to local levels.
