Asif supports RIMES research initiatives at the national and field levels and provides technical assistance in the development of tools and applications, particularly in the agriculture and livestock sectors. In Bangladesh, he is also involved in implementing, monitoring, assessing, and documenting the RIMES project activities. Asif also provides assistance to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) and the Flood Forecasting and Warning Center (FFWC) as needed.

Asif has participated in and facilitated several workshops and training on Climate Service, CSA and Early Warning at the national and community levels. He is also one of the authors of the first Training Manual on Climate Services for Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh officers, scientists and farmers. 

Asif graduated from Sylhet Agricultural University with a B.Sc in Agricultural Engineering degree. He is currently pursuing  M.Sc in Water Resources Development at the Institute of Water and Flood Management(IWFM) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET).
